Talib Syed Karim received his Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering and Master’s in Economics from the University of Arizona, Tucson, USA. As a graduate student, he taught introductory economics courses at the University of Arizona. He has been associated with a development finance institution and worked there for number of years in various capacities in Business Promotion & Marketing, Research Planning & Publicity, Merchant Banking, Administration & Personnel and Coordination, Planning & Research Division. He was Vice President & Departmental Head of Corporate Communications Department & Regional Head, Southern Region. In 1994, he decided to devote full time towards the establishment of a business school in Karachi. He is currently the Rector and Executive Director of Management Excellence Center (MEC). He represents the Institute as a member of the International Association of Universities, Paris, Asian Media Information and Communication Centre, Singapore, Association of Universities of Asia & Pacific, Thailand, Association of Commonwealth Universities, Employers Federation of Pakistan, Management Association of Pakistan (Management Committee), Marketing Association of Pakistan (Vice President), StandingCommittee on Education, FPCCI. He has also  represented the Institute in various international forums andconferences. In October 2010, he attended “The Oxford Advanced Management and Leadership Program” at Said Business School, University of Oxford.

Before he took an early retirement Haroon Waheed was serving as the Director Human Resources for Unilever Pakistan Limited. He has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources both in Pakistan and on the International circuit. With vast experience in his field, he enjoys helping people grow together with the business. Building talent for the future is his obsession.

His passion and obsession is working with people within Pakistan and outside and thus growing people and business together.

Rabia Garib is the CEO and co-founder of Rasala Publications. She is an Eisenhower Fellow and represented Pakistan amongst 24 other countries, specializing in the field of Technology Trade Journalism and New Media. The most recent project includes being the Chief Wrapper at ToffeeTV.com, a digital initiative that takes Urdu songs and stories for children and puts them on web and mobile media.
