Shimi Shah
Managing Director FORSA LLC
Shimi a graduate from Queens College Cambridge, UK has actively been involved in fund management and
venture capital for nearly 16 years. She began her career as a Director at Partnerships UK plc (PUK), where she
worked for over three years. Working on the Company’s equity business she invested in a number of spin outs
from Government Departments and Universities in UK. Following this, Shimi then moved on to join Porton
Capital, UK; a venture capital Company, as a Senior Director focusing on investments from Government
Departments and Universities.
Shimi currently work for Forsa, as the Managing Director. She is an active member of the Young Presidents
Organization (YPO). |

Yasmin Morshed
Bangladesh’s high commissioner to Pakistan
Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Mrs. Murshed completed her primary and secondary education at the Viqarunnisa Noon School in Dhaka. Subsequently, she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and
Masterís Degree in Economics at the University of Punjab.
Mrs. Murshed began her career in education as a teacher in various Pakistani institutions prior to her relocation
to Bangladesh in 1971. Apart from being an eminent educationist Mrs. Murshed has an excellent track record
of activities in national socio-political development efforts. In the early nineties she undertook a very significant
role through the Centre for Analysis and Choice (CAC), a non-partisan think tank, to help consolidate the
democratic process and improve the status of women in Bangladesh. Mrs. Murshed also assumed the posts
of Minister of Women and Children Affairs and Minister of Social Welfare in Bangladesh. |

Sherry Rehman
Former Federal Minster Information & Broadcasting, Pakistan
Former Federal Minister for Information, Sherry Rehman is a liberal politician and journalist. She was appointed
by the Pakistan People's Party as a Member of the National Assembly after the 2002 elections. Ms. Rehman
completed her education at Smith College, graduating in 1985. She has been an active campaigner for human
rights and gender justice and the founder of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan.
A former editor of Herald, Sherry Rehman is a journalist by profession. In March 2002 she was awarded the
Overseas Award for Excellence in Journalism by the British House of Lords. |

Sarmad Tariq
Motivational Speaker
Sarmad Tariq is a trainer, life coach & a motivational speaker,
with an aim to highlight the potential of human beings. He
helps others realize their true potential and positive significance
of limitations at an organizational and personal level. Sarmad
holds an MBA from the American International University,
Islamabad. Sarmad is a quadriplegic (paralyzed shoulder down),
on a wheelchair for the past 18 years.
On March 26, 2004 he drove a distance of 1,847 km non-stop
from Khyber to Karachi in his hand controlled car in 33 hours
and made a world record for a quadriplegic. |

 Tariq Qureishy

Tariq Qureishy is the CEO of SAB Holding and SAB Media. As a Group CEO he manages all the companies in the
Group which also includes Media, Telecom & Technology, Retail, Real Estate, Logistics and Investments. The
Group is headquartered in the KSA with regional offices in London, Dubai, Cairo & Jeddah.
Tariq has a degree in Economics from the Harvard Business School, USA. In addition to the above, Tariq has
also led several strategic consultancy projects in the TMT [Technology, Media, Telecoms] and other business
sectors in USA, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Tariq has served the community in several ways as well by setting up a charitable initiative called Mobile-Aid,
using technology and know-how to raise funds focusing on worthy causes relating to children all over the world.
He is also involved in several other humanitarian projects internationally. |

 Dr. Huma Baqai
Professor - IBA, Karachi
Dr. Huma Baqai currently teaches at IBA, Karachi. Prior to that, she has been associated with Department of
International Relations at the Karachi University for most of her academic career. She is a specialist in non-state
peace diplomacy. Her primary focus during her PhD was on Non Military Sources of Conflict in South Asia.
Apart from this, she has been anchoring different Current Affairs programmers such as This Week, Midweek
Review and News Morning on Pakistan Television Network, since 2001. Additionally she has also appeared
as an analyst on foreign affairs and national issues on Pakistan Television Network and private TV channels
since 2000 to date. |
